Description	:	Jack Forney, 64, of Laurel, passed away Monday, Oct 7, 1996 at Deaconess Mediucal Center following a long illness. He was born Dec 16, 1931 in Bozeman, the son of Clay and Sylvia Mae(Nelson) Forney. his family moved to the Willow Creek area near Red Lodge in 1937. He attended Cottonwood School through grade school. He worked in the oil fields and construction, having worked on Yellowtail Dam. he worked several years in logging in the Livingston area and had owned his own salvage business in Livingston and Joliet. He is survived by four sons, Steven of California, David and wife, Vonnie of Laurel, Tom of Billings, George of Anchorage, Alaska, and his daughter, Beth Holster and husband, Rob of Tacoma, Wash; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert B, and wife, Betty of Wichita Falls, Texas, Samuel and wife, Theresa of Laurel, and Mort and wife, Phyllis of Billings. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie (Salo) Forney, in January 1961, His second wife, Dixie Forney, preceded him in death in 1982. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Joan in 1957; sister, Dorothy Doty, July of 1975; and mother Sylvia who passed away December of 1991. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct 10 at the Smith Chapel in Laurel. Interment will be at the Roberts Cemetery, Roberts, Mont. Memorials, American Lung Association.
