Description	:	Nancy Ziemba Gleaton provided the following obituary: St. Matthews - Jack H. Spigner, 72, of 302 Forest Dr. in St. Matthews, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Thomas B. Huggins officiating. Burial will be in West End Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George 'Toot' Rickenbaker, George Shirer, Herbert Stone, Earl Smith, Ronnie Spigner and Joel Duke. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bobby Gressette Sunday School class. He was owner and operator of Spigner Brother's Auto Service Inc. He was a graduate of St. Matthews High School and attended Presbyterian College. Mr. Spigner was a member of the Elks Lodge #897, a volunteer fireman for St. Matthews and a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Helen Watford Spigner, of the home; a daughter, Sheryl Spigner Cartwright Sr., of St. Matthews; a brother, Johnny Spigner, of St. Matthews; and a sister, Lucille Tanner, of Hemmingway. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, Oct. 2 at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home. At other times, friends may call at the residence and at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home.
