Description	:	Obituary reads: Jack L. Nicholson, 88 of rural Webster City, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Foster Chapel, with Rev. Gerald Caquelin officiating. Burial will be in the Blairsburg Cemetery, north of Blairsburg. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday. Jack Lee Nicholson, son of Willis and Bernice McDaniel Nicholson, was born Sept. 29, 1917 at Blairsburg. He received his education at the Ashpole rural school near Blairsburg. On Sept. 29, 1938, he married Jessie Lorena Berleen at the Methodist parsonage at Hampton. The couple had farmed at four locations around the Webster City area, the last being south of Webster City. He had also worked in various factory jobs while farming. Mrs. Nicholson died May 22, 2004. He continued to reside on his farm. Jack is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Raymond Newell of Des Moines; sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Sandy Nicholson of Dalhart, TX; Virgil and Julie Nicholson, Kenneth and Kathleen Nicholson, all of Webster City; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grand-daughter; sisters Lila Smith of Belmond; Iona Dinsdale of Webster City; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Dixie Louise and Betty Lou Nicholson; a grandson, Tony Jon Nicholson; great-granddaughter, Tayelor Nicholson; brothers, Richard, Wendell, Lionel and Glen Nicholson. His hobby was woodworking. He enjoyed dancing at Stratford on Tuesdays and Saturday night at Otho. The highlight of his day was visiting with friends, relatives and watching wildlife on his farm.
