The funeral was Monday at 2 p.m. from the Church of The Nazarene, Burr Oak, with Pastor Don Pierce officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. The Megrue-Price Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Jack Valdezes Beavers was one of six children born to Glenn and Chloe Blanche Fuller Beavers in Oxford, Neb., Nov. 8, 1918. He met and married Hazel Runyan Killen Aug. 12, 1949. This union was blessed with one son, Larry. Mr. and Mrs. Beavers lived in Geneva for several years and were making their home in Burr Oak at the time of his death. He was a retired construction worker, his job being with the bridge construction crew. Beavers was a member of the Superior Volunteer Fire Department and was attending the Church of The Nazarene at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Victor Beavers. Survivors are his wife, Hazel May; son, Larry, Superior; stepson, Clinton E. Killen, Osborne, Kan.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Dennis Roesti (Wilma) of Burr Oak and Mrs. Clarence Simmons (JoAnn), Superior; four sisters, Mrs. Ed Stonecypher (Nira) and Mrs. Willard Springer (Nada), both of Superior, Mrs. Eldon Elliot (Betty) of Palmer, Alaska, and Evelyn Harbolt, Miami, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many other relatives.
