He married my father’s sister and lived on his own place, not far from the Huff place. They had one child, a daughter, who died prior to the Civil War. She is buried in this same cemetery and there is a small tombstone there marking her grave. There are two unmarked graves right by hers. I believe they are the graves of Jackson Huff and his wife. He had a comfortable home and money at the time of his death, which he gave to some of his nieces under his will. He gave his property to his nieces and nephews. He made no provision for a tombstone for himself or his wife, and those who got the property never considered there was any obligation resting upon them to provide tombstones for his grave and none have ever been erected.
