Later on, while I was still a small boy, probably not over ten years old, I was in that room. Henry Huff lay dead on that bed. Some of his sons were there; my father was there; the room was full of men. They buried him that day. The coffin was borne from the house on the running gear of a wagon drawn by oxen.... They buried him in the same graveyard where my father and mother are buried. There is nothing to mark the grave in which he rests. Note: At time time of his birth, this part of what became Floyd County was a part of Montgomery County, Virginia.
