Description	:	Jacob was the first of 13 children born to David Beaver Harker and Jane Norris. He married Sarah Huff 22 Aug 1861 in Ashland Co.Ohio. He may have had one child. He was a Private in the Civil War. Enlisted 22 Aug.1862 with Co. 2,120th Ohio Volunteers and died of dysentery while in service. One record says he died at the James plantation in Tennessee and another record says he died at Smiths plantation in Louisanna. His body was taken back to his home in Ohio.
