Description	:	JACOB HOFER Jacob Hofer, 78, 1106 Main St., died Tuesday evening at 8:40 o'clock at the Sanders Nursing Home, following an illness of one week. Mr. Hofer, a native of Brookville, was a retired Delco-Remy employe. He was the son of Charles and Caroline (Baumen) Hofer and was married in April of 1898 to Mabel Hollowell, who died in 1904. He married Edna Tucker in 1921, who survives. McCoy, pastor of the East Main Street Christian Church at Elwood. Interment will be in the Curtisville Cemetery, six miles northwest of Elwood. Survivors include the widow, two sons, Delbert and Kenneth Hofer, both of Anderson; two daughters, Mrs. Crystal Parker, Anderson, and Mrs. Edna Kane, Elwood; two brothers, Henry of Anderson and Christopher Hofer of Menomenee, Mich.; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
