Wayne State School after an illness of two months with tuberculosis. Read More	SAD DEATH OF A YOUNG GIRL Jean Alice Hofer, Age 15, Formerly Attended the Prairie Schools. FUNERAL RITES HERE Jean Alice Hofer, age 15, expired at 9:45 o'clock Friday night at the Ft. Wayne State School after an illness of two months with tuberculosis. When it was discovered that she was suffering with the disease it was in advanced stage and death had been expected for the past several weeks. She was the daughter of Jacob and Edna (Glass) Hofer and was born on the old Glass farm west of Tipton in October, 1925. She was a student in the Prairie schools for a few years and for the past four years had been in the Fort Wayne state school. The young girl was unusually attractive although mentally deficient. Surviving are the father, Jacob Hofer, near Marion; the mother, Mrs. Edna Hofer, and a brother, Kenneth, near Swayzee, four half sisters and one half brother. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 o'clock at the Young funeral home in this city with burial following in Fairview cemetery. Rev. L. R. Gray will conduct the services.
