Read More	Jacob Lloyd Miler of Weldon, IA, son of Charles Elmer and Mary Inez McVey Miler was born May 9, 1909, in Clarke County and died April 6, 1995, in Des Moines. He was 85. Mr. Miler married Velma Irene Osgood on May 21, 1931, in Clarke County. The couple farmed together in Clarke County and were the parents of four children, Ben, Wynona, Paul and Dan. He loved horses. In his spare time, Mr. Miler liked to whittle wood and play the harmonica. In addition to his parents, he was proceded in death by his wife, Velma on Aug. 2, 1986, brother, Dwight Miler and two infant brothers. Survivors include his children, Ben Miler of Doon, Wynona Troemel and her husband, Ernest Troemel, of Prosser, WA, Paul Miler and his wife, Rita Miler, of Van Wert and Dan Miler and his wife Debbie Miler, of Dalhart, TX; twelve grandchildren: thirteen great-grandchildren. Longtime companion, Loretta Name and her children; brother, Everette Miler and his wife Mary Miler of Cottonwood, AZ: three sisters, Reba Pettis and Pansy Spoon of Osceola and Evelyn Travis of Leon, and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services for Mr. Miler were held on April 8th, at the Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, the Rev. Terry D. Roberts officiated. Organist Virgingia Webb played the hymns, In the Garden and How Great Thou Art. Casket bearers were Don Elsberry, Larry Kelso, Phil McVey, Elmer Miler, Hank Miler and Willialm Troemel. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery at Osceola, IA.
