KEVE Answers the Last Summons Friday Morning at Three O'clock. One of Lima's Most Respected Residents and a Pioneer in This Locality. Mr. Jacob L. Keve passed away at his home, 316 west Market street, about three o'clock Friday morning, after an illness of two weeks, the compliant being heart trouble. The deceased was born an old and prominent citizen of Lima, and has here for the past forty-one years. He was born in Warren county, Ohio, near Franklin, January 18, 1825. One after his birth his parents moved to Hamilton county, and from there to Miami county, when he was about six years of age. in 1836 his parents took up residence in Allen county, and in 1840 the deceased came to Lima to learn the tailoring trade with Daniel Boyer, and remained with him five years and four months. He took as a companion though life, Miss Rachel Maxwell, of Piqua, on May 18, 1847. She died July 28, 1861, and he was married again on January 29, 1862 to Eliza B. Tracey, who survives him. Besides the bereaved wife, he leaves two sons, Samuel and Genio, and three daughters, Mrs. J. H. Nye and Mrs. S. A. Thompson, of this city, and Mrs. Abe McCafferty, of Gilboa, Ohio; also two brothers, James Keve, of this place, and William Keve of Piqua. The funeral services were held in Trinity church at three o'clock Sunday afternoon. the Allen lodge I. O. O. F., of which organization he was a prominent member, attended in body.
