Conduct Final Rites For J. Nevin Witmer Here Wednesday Last rites for Jacob Kevin Witmer, 75, long-time resident of Cedar county, were held Wednesday afternoon in the Sheets funeral home. His death occurred Monday in St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a month's illness. The Rev. Leo G. Wolfe officiated at the services and interment was in the Masonic cemetery. Mr. Witmer was born Dec. 21, 1872 in Cedar county. His early life was spent in the Wilton community where he attended high school and normal school. He was married to Grace Wingert in 1902 and they established their home on a farm near Tipton. They moved to Tipton in 1917. Survivors include his widow, one sister, Mrs. Minnie Mayes and two brothers, Frank and Forest Witmer, all of Tipton.
