Jacob Walmer died 5 Jan. 1863. His wife (Sarah Shoue), died November 5, 1886. Members of Lutheran Church. They had 13 children, six sons and seven daughters; seven grew to mature years: Mary, wife of Jacob Pontius of Wayne County, Ohio; Eliza, widow of Abraham Wolf and a resident of Montana; Martha, wife of Enoch Gable, a resident of Lancaster Co., Neb.; Catherine, wife of William Gift, living in Wapello County near Ottumwa, Iowa; Daniel, who married Mary Duncan and after her death married Susanna C. Whitson (sic), a farmer of Fairfield Township; Joseph Walmer , married LIZZIE PATTERSON ( a/k/a Elizabeth Pattison Walmer )and is living in Cedar Township; Anthony Wayne, who was born in Iowa, married Jennie Camlin and is living in Holridge, Neb.
