After graduating from East High School she worked at Iowa Des Moines National Bank where she met Thomas Hunt. Tom and Jackie were married in 1940 at Saint Paul Episcopal Church in Des Moines. After World War II they moved to Scranton, Iowa where they raised their family and were active community members. Jacqueline was a creative and skilled homemaker, wife, and mother. Jacqueline is survived by daughters Sarah Durbala and Elizabeth Meahl (Starling), son Stephen (Margaret), five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas, her parents, one sister and five brothers. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, November 28, 2016 at Iles Westover Chapel, 6337 Hickman Road, Des Moines, Iowa 50322. The family will greet friends from noon until service time on Monday. Burial will follow at Bondurant Cemetery.
