Jackie was born in Akron, Iowa September 21, 1946 the daughter of Jack and Amelia (Lambert) Henrich. She attended St Joseph's Catholic School and Akron Public Schools. She attended Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa and was the first non-traditional graduate from this school. Jackie achieved the status of Summa Cum Laude upon graduation with her Bachelor of Science degree in 1988. In 1993, she was awarded a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota. Jackie subsequently achieved the status of Certified Public Accountant. She belonged to the Iowa Association of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Internal Auditors, American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Turnaround Management Association. As a business professional, Jackie's intelligence, insight, dedication, and unwavering commitment to ethics were a shining example to all she encountered. The passion that drove her success was a desire to care for her family and to make the world a better place. Jackie was a founding member and Chief Financial Officer of MainStream Holdings, LLC of Cedar Rapids a corporate renewal and restructuring firm. In her seven years at MainStream, she served as a consultant and / or Chief Financial Officer to several major corporations nationally and internationally. Concurrently, Jackie also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Harvest Manor Farms, LLC of Cedar Rapids, and as an Operations Advisor to the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. In addition, she acted as a consultant and financial advisor to various financial institutions including Bank of America, BankOne Equity Capital, and U.S. Bank Corporation. Previous to her achievements at MainStream, Jackie served as Chief Financial Officer of DeLaRue Systems Americas, Inc and Lefebure Corporation, both of Cedar Rapids. Prior to moving to Cedar Rapids, she was the Treasurer and Administrative Officer for MidAmerican Capital, a MidAmerican Energy Company. She worked for MidAmerican Energy in a number of accounting and treasury positions from 1988 to 1997, in Sioux City and Des Moines, Iowa. Jackie was devoted to her family and her favorite moments were spent with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. She enjoyed being outdoors and always saw God's glory reflected in His Creation. Gardening was one of her passions and she loved watching the birds that flocked to her beautiful flowers, plants, and trees. She was very active and could out-hike her daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren. Jackie was a source of strength and inspiration to everyone who knew her. She was beautiful in body, soul, and spirit. She had a unique ability to give without taking and could see the beauty in the universe and in the people around her. As a result of her attitude toward life, she was called friend and admired by many. She was always a crutch when one was needed. Those she has helped wore many faces: a member of her family, a woman at the airport, a person in the next seat on an airplane, a person in need of a blood transfusion, mistreated Chinese factory workers, an employee – she always seemed to find, reach out, and help those in need. Survivors include her husband of 13 years, Don; her children Kim (John) McCleary of Storm Lake, Iowa and Sandi (Brian) Grover of Elbert, Colorado; two grandchildren, Meaghan and Keegan of Storm Lake, Iowa; her mother Amelia Henrich of Akron, Iowa; her brother Jim (Kay) Henrich of Akron, Iowa; four sisters, Kathleen (Art) Johns of Burlington, Iowa, Charlotte (Emil) Beeck, JoAnn (John) Ziniel, and Susan (Bob) Brown, all of Akron, Iowa; a brother-in-law: Ed Schoenfelder of Westfield, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father John Henrich and a sister Kay Schoenfelder. Memorial gifts may be made to Morningside College in Jackie's memory. All gifts will help fund the Jacqueline Gimberline Endowed Scholarship for non-traditional students who exemplify the character of Jackie.
