Description	:	Jacquelyn Ann Uphoff, 76, Gann Valley, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at Avera Weskota Memorial Medical Center, after a short illness. Her funeral was held November 13 at the Congregational Church in Gann Valley, with Jeff Adel officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Gann Valley. Jacquelyn Ann Bridge was born June 23, 1930 at Chamberlain, during a tornado, to George and Laura (Ingerson) Bridge. They lived near Plankinton and Gann Valley. Jacquelyn Ann Bridge was born June 23, 1930 at Chamberlain, during a tornado, to George and Laura (Ingerson) Bridge. They lived near Plankinton and Gann Valley. At the age of eight, she performed in rodeos, tap dancing on the back of her horse. She attended Busy Workers country school and graduated from Gann Valley High School. She taught rural school. She went to Los Angeles, where she worked for the airlines and Lockheed. She worked for Transworld Airlines in Kansas City, Mo., and worked in Pierre in the auditor's office. She married Buster (Russell) Uphoff December 5, 1952 at Pierre. They moved to Gann Valley, where she worked at the Buffalo County state's attorney's office and then taught school in Gann Valley and Head Start at Fort Thompson. She was postmaster at Gann Valley for more than 10 years. She is survived by her husband; four children, Patricia (Rick) Peterson of Woonsocket, Kelly (Linda) of Custer, Daniel (Mikell) of Sioux Falls, and Bonnie (Deach) Koch of Custer; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Junior (Donna) of Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Dustin Koch. The Miller Press 11/14/2006
