The funeral services were conducted from the residence Wednesday forenoon at 10 o'clock, C. E. Hayede, pastor of the Christian church officiating, and the interment was in St. Clair cemetery. The obituary as handed us for publication follows: James Alexander McCall, son of Robert H. and Nancy McCall, was born in Callaway county, Mo., January 13, 1866. With his parents he came to Monona county, Iowa, in the year 1882, immigrating here in a wagon where they settled on a farm west of Ute, residing there until three years ago when he and his brother George moved to Ute. He had been confined to his bed since March 5th, and death came to him on April 17, at 10:10 a. m. He had attained the age of 56 years, 2 months and 4 days. He leaves to mourn his departure the following brothers and sisters: George, here at Ute; Verter, living near Mapleton; Alice Chedister, residing northwest of town, also the following half-brothers and sisters: John McCall, Katherine Milliron and Anna Rodman, besides a host of other relatives and friends. We wish to express our sincere thanks to all the kind people who assisted our brother James Alexander McCall during his illness, and also for the many favors shown in his behalf after his death.
