Read More	James Calvin Ellis July 25, 1929 - December 22, 2011 Biography James Calvin Ellis, 82, of Calhoun Falls, SC died December 22, 2011 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont. He was born July 25, 1929 in Abbeville County, SC to the late Carl L. Ellis and Ollie Waters Ellis. He attended Calhoun Falls Schools and was retired from Ellis Construction Company. He was a veteran of the US Army and the National Guard. He was a member of Calhoun Falls Presbyterian Church and the Calhoun Falls Masonic Lodge #283. He was an avid Model A Ford collector and mechanic. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bennie Ellis and Jimmie Lee Ellis; and a sister, Sara Strong. Surviving are his wife, Lloyd Bosler Ellis of the home; son, Lyn Ellis of Calhoun Falls; daughter, Vickie Sharpe and husband Tom of Lexington, SC; sisters, Helen Bosler of Abbeville and Martha Sue Thompson of Duluth, GA; grandchildren, Megan Taylor and husband Scott and Katie Ellis; and great grandchildren, Destiny, Griffin, and Maddox Chambers, and Lily, Beckham and Audrey Taylor. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at December 24, 2011 at Calhoun Falls Funeral Service. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. John Ellis and Rev. Virgil Manning will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Military and Masonic Rites. Memorials may b e given to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646. Calhoun Falls Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
