Jim was a younger brother to Leo Henry Jr. and Jean Elaine Barnett. He moved to Covina, California with his family in 1956. He worked for Carrier Day & Night Payne in City of Industry, California for 35 years. At the age of 17 he enlisted with the USNR on January 28, 1953, he served on the USS Iowa.
