Description	:	James Clarence, youngest of William D. and Anna E. Martin, was born near Eagleville, Missouri, May 11, 1884, departed this life October 11, 1921, at the age of 37 years, 5 months. He was married January 1, 1905, to Etta L. Keown of Pleasanton, Iowa. To this union were born three children, Bertha I., Francis L., and Harold M., who with mother and companion are left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving father and companion. Besides wife and children, he is survived by aged mother, two brothers and three sisters; E.O., Blythedale, Mo., R. L., Eagleville, Mo., Mrs. H.J. Young, Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. G.D. Cramer, Eagleville, Mo., and Mrs. J.A. McCormack, Pleasanton, Iowa, by other relatives, and a host of friends. His father and one sister preceded him to the Great Beyond. Clarence was thereby, left at the age of 14 without a father's care and counsel. He united with the Latter Day Saint church at Lamoni, Iowa, in 1913. In the faith of this people he lived and died with the hope of the First Resurrection, the rest of the just. Services were from the Saints' Church, Lamoni, Thursday, in charge of L.G.
