Description	:	The remains of Clifford Hopes, who died at the Unity Hospital at Creston, Monday evening at five o’clock were brought to Villisca Wednesday on No. E. A special car was put on at Preston and about fifty Creston people accomapnied the remains to Villisca. The funeral services in Villisca were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Rachel Carlisle, conductrd by Rev. Elder of the Creston Christian Church. Besides the two grandmothers, Mrs. Rachel Carlise and Mrs. Savilla Hopes, there were a number of Villisca and Creston relatives present. James Clifford Hopes was born in Villisca, September 11, 1898. He lived in Villisca until about eleven years ago when he moved with his parents to Creston, where he had lived since. Prior to his death he had worked for the Burlington as car checker in the Creston Yards. His father, J. C. Hipes, is conductor on the Burlington. Besides his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J. C.
