Seaton, 63, of Abilene died Monday afternoon while enroute to the home of his sister, Mrs. W. H. Hopwood, who lives south of Abilene. Mr. Seaton apparently became ill while driving his car but had been able to stop and get out onto the road. Seaton, 63, of Abilene died Monday afternoon while enroute to the home of his sister, Mrs. W. H. Hopwood, who lives south of Abilene. Mr. Seaton apparently became ill while driving his car but had been able to stop and get out onto the road. His body was found back of the vehicle by residents of the community who had been called by passers-by. Born in Iowa June 18, 1894, he had lived in Abilene for the past 30 years. For the past seven years he had been employed at the Banks implement company. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are his wife, the former Grace Goodnight; one daughter, Marilyn of the home; a son, Glen Seaton of Wichita; one grandchild and three brothers, Garrett Seaton and Fred Seaton of Chapman and Lennie Seaton of Sharon Springs; two sisters, Mrs. W. J. Hopwood of Abilene and Mrs. Erma Stark of Dodge City. Funeral services were held at the Danner Funeral Home Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ernest Hull officiating. Burial was in the Abilene cemetery.
