Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg. He was born April 18, 1931, in Walnut to Andrew and Mary Ryan Davied. He was retired from the Crawford County Highway Department, where he worked for 23 years. He was raised in the Greenbush area and attended Greenbush schools. 'Jim' Davied 18 April 1931 ~ 02 April 2005 FRANKLIN - James D. "Jim" Davied, 73, of Franklin, died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg. He was born April 18, 1931, in Walnut to Andrew and Mary Ryan Davied. He was retired from the Crawford County Highway Department, where he worked for 23 years. He was raised in the Greenbush area and attended Greenbush schools. He worked for Dickey Clay manufacturing in Pittsburg before going to work for the highway department. He lived in the Franklin area most of his life. He married Peggy Yoakam on June 15, 1956, in Pittsburg. She survives of the home. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac, Lon Helm American Legion Post 182 of Arma of which he was past commander, the SNPJ Lodge 225 of Arma, the Arma Eagles, and the Knights of Columbus of Girard-Arma. Additional survivors include one daughter, LeaAnn Schmidt of Olathe; two sons, Tim Davied of Webb City, Mo., and Tom Davied of Franklin; two sisters, Mary Ann Lepoglow of Girard and Betty Madl of Altus, Okla.; two brothers, Bob Davied of Girard and Paul Davied of Tulsa, Okla.; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Ted Davied; one sister, Rita Davied; and one brother, Bill Davied. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Robert McElwee officiating. Burial will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bedene Funeral Home. The rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Bedene Chapel in Arma, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. at Bedene Chapel. Lon Helm American Legion Post 182 will conduct the graveside flag-folding services. Arrangements are under the direction of Bedene Funeral Home.
