Description	:	Below info received on 12/10/2017 from Alison Andrus James Eldon Patrie was born at Prairie City, Iowa March 4, 1879 the son of Paul and Isabelle Patrie. He passed away in the Harvey hospital June 15, 1966 at age 87 years, 3 month, following several years of illness. Eldon Patrie spent most of his early years in Iowa. He learned the barbering trade and for some years operated a barber shop in Pierre, South Dakota. He passed away in the Harvey hospital June 15, 1966 at age 87 years, 3 month, following several years of illness. Eldon Patrie spent most of his early years in Iowa. He learned the barbering trade and for some years operated a barber shop in Pierre, South Dakota. In 1901, he was united in marriage to Carrie Graham of Prairie City, Iowa and to this union were born two children; Zola Belle and Kenneth Theodore. On about 1904 he came to North Dakota and later studied mechanics at Hansen's Tractor and Auto School in Fargo. On June 22, 1909 he was married to Della Flaugher Kugel at Fessenden, North Dakota. To this union were born two sons; James W. and Donald LeRoy and one daughter, Beulah. For the past 57 years the family made their home on a farm near Heaton where they were engaged in grain and livestock production. When a young man Eldon joined the Methodist Church at Prairie City, Iowa. Surviving are his wife; two sons, James W. and DOnald L., Heaton; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Beulah) Long, Bowdon, and Mrs. ZolaBelle Patterson, Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Alexander, Colfax, Iowa and Mrs. Grace Walker, Cheverly, Maryland; and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, June 20, 1966 at the Church of God in Bowdon with Pastors Milbert Orfman and Paul Swardstrom officiating. Interment at Heaton Cemetery.
