Description	:	James E Hanley, died of Spanish influenza, Thursday morning at 6 am. James E Hanley was the 19 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Preston Hanley who lives north of town. This is the second son that Mr. and Mrs. Hanley have lost with this dread disease this month. Joe Hanley died at Cashmere a short time ago and now the last and only son has been called. James was exposed to the disease when he so generously offered and did assist in taking care of Mr. Whitmore who died from this same disease. No one would or did... No one would or did go near the stricken Whitmore family but James Hanley and he assisted in taking care of them and helped and from that young Hanley contracted the disease. Every thing was done that was possible to save his life and for ----- shortly before his death he seemed to improve and hopes were entertained of his recovery, but the All Wise Father ordained otherwise.
