Description	:	OBIT: Word of the death of Pvt. Jim F. Taylor, 31, of Ellensburg, in an Army hospital at New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, Wednesday, was received here yesterday by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Carpenter [step father] of Route 3. The Army telegram said only that he died suddenly, and did not give the cause of death. Private Taylor was stationed at the Army service forces depot at New Cumberland. He returned to the states in February and remained in the Army. He was born in Ellensburg February 6, 1915, attended the Ellensburg schools into high school and had worked on valley farms before going into the service. Besides his parents he is survived by a brother, Cpl. Cecil A. Taylor, serving in the Army Air Forces and stationed at Kearns, Utah, who arrived home on furlough yesterday; two sisters, Mrs. Eloyde Steifel, Wenatchee, and Mr. Lloyd Junkins, Brewster; two half-brothers, Lawrence and Bill Carpenter, Ellensburg; a half-sister, Mrs. Harriet Massey, Seattle, and an aunt, Mrs. Ethel Knudson, Ellensburg.
