Description	:	James Fife was born 15 May 1782 in Allegheny County, PA to John and Elizabeth (Fife) Fife. His parents were cousins. His siblings were: Thomas, William, Margaret, John, David, Jane and Joseph. In 1804, the family moved to Ohio. James married Susanna Hamilton on 30 Aug 1810 in Columbiana County, Ohio. Jones Only one veteran of the War of 1812 is buried in the cemetery of the Madison Presbyterian church in Madison township on the Lincoln highway. When his wife passed away some 25 years after his own demise, she qualified as the oldest person who was buried in the same plot. For nearly half a century, their remains have lain side by side alongside this edifice in which services have been held for an interval that lacks a bit more than a year of equaling her lifetime. This once soldier of the second war with Great Britain when James Madison was functioning as the fourth President of the United States was James Fife. He was born 1783. He succumbed on April 18, 1860, when he was 77 years, 11 months and 26 days old. On the stone placed over his resting place are the words: "My flesh shall slumber in the grave until the last trumpet's joyful sound. Then burst the chains with sweet surprise and in my Saviour's image rise."
