Am using the headstone inscription DOD for this memorial pending any clarification. ------------------- Death notice for James Abraham; no further, fuller, obituary found: Fairfield Daily Journal Tuesday February 14, 1911 Pg. 2 Col. 3 JAMES ABRAHAM DIED IN WEST A message was received in this city this morning announcing the death of James Abraham which occurred early this morning (sic) at his home in Spokane, Washington, after an illness of some time. Mr. Abraham was a resident of Blackhawk township for many years and will be remembered by a large circle of friends all over the county. The remains will be brought to this city arriving here Saturday morning and the time for the funeral will be announced later. Mr. Abraham is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. John A. Gantz who resides on West Washington street in this city. -------------- Note: for whatever reason, the obituary for James H. Abraham evidently omitted mention of a daughter, Iva/Ida O. Abraham West (sic. see: Iva O Abraham West) and a son, Ray Abraham, as surviving him.
