Description	:	James Isaac Hare was born on July 12, 1933 along with his twin sister Jane Hare, in Hand County South Dakota to Louis and Elizabeth (Pfiefer) Hare. James grew up in Miller South Dakota. When he was in the sixth grade in Miller he underwent a cataract operation that failed to preserve his sight and he gradually lost the use of both eyes. Read More	James Isaac Hare was born on July 12, 1933 along with his twin sister Jane Hare, in Hand County South Dakota to Louis and Elizabeth (Pfiefer) Hare. James grew up in Miller South Dakota. When he was in the sixth grade in Miller he underwent a cataract operation that failed to preserve his sight and he gradually lost the use of both eyes. He then attended Gary School for the Blind and graduated from High School in 1952 and University of South Dakota Law School. He made his home in Pierre, where he was the attorney for the South Dakota Department of Transportation. He married Constance Novacek on May 18, 1963 in Miller, South Dakota. James was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lions, Toastmasters, Advocacy Project and the RIght to Life. He was also involved in Alakid Alateen, Youth Yellow Pages, Growing Up Together, Headstart, Boys and Girls Club, Latchkey, Boy and Girl Scouts, Children's Special Health Services Community and Youth Involved Center, Eye Care/Cosmetic Surgery and 4-H Clubs. His special interest was teaching children to understand blindness. James enjoyed crocheting and was known for making afghans for the first baby of each month born in St. Mary's Hospital in Pierre and for making caps and scarves for childrn in need in the community. He is survived by his wife, Constance of Sioux Falls; 4 sons: James Isaac II (Debra)and their two daughters Christine and Jessica, Nicholas of Redfield, Patrick and his wife Mae of Aberdeen and Michael Hare of Pierre and one daughter: Mary Elizabeth Hare of Sioux Falls. His Twin Sister Jane Snyder of Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents Louis Hare and his mother Elizabeth (Pfiefer) Hare and two brothers: LeRoy and Robert
