Funeral Services will be at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton with Rev. Michael Schmitz officiating. Burial will be at the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Crofton.Wintz Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Jim was born on September 30, 1937 at Crofton to Vern and Helen (Gass) Nohr. He grew up and lived in Crofton all of his life. Jim graduated from Crofton High School in 1956 and then worked for Hesse Implement in Crofton for 42 years. For about 20 years, starting in high school, he began delivering milk door to door and then to the grocery store and the schools. He was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and was a former member of the Crofton Town Board and the Crofton Volunteer Fire Department. Jim is survived by his wife, Janice Nohr of Crofton; 4 children, Mike and Jo Ann Nohr of Edgewater, Florida; Steven and Sandra Nohr of Paris, Tennessee; Kathy Nohr and Doug Steffen of Crofton; Gary Nohr of Mount Airy, North Carolina; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a sister Joan and Jim Enright of Seminole, Florida; a brother, Ralph and Linda Nohr of Poway, California and a brother-in-law, Bill Kremer of Crofton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Melba Kremer.Yankton Press & Dakotan
