Collins of Overbrook, Ks. He was the youngest of 10 children of David & Rachel Ann (Thornburg) Kimble; all of who preceded him in death. His father died while he was young; and he and his mother came to Kansas and settled in the Ridgway community. He was united in marriage to Sarah Wiley of Ridgeway on 21 Feb 1894.... Collins of Overbrook, Ks. He was the youngest of 10 children of David & Rachel Ann (Thornburg) Kimble; all of who preceded him in death. His father died while he was young; and he and his mother came to Kansas and settled in the Ridgway community. He was united in marriage to Sarah Wiley of Ridgeway on 21 Feb 1894. The lived in the Overbrook community for more than 50 years. After his wife's death, three years ago, he made his home with his children. Mr. Kimble joined the Congregational church of Overbrook. Although he had been in failing health for the last several years, he never lost courage and his patience and cheerfulness during his long illiness will be an example and pleasant memory to the family and friends who knew & loved him. Mr. Kimble is survived by 3 daughters: Mrs. Zelma DeBoe, Swink, Co.; Mrs Jennie Collins, Overbrook, and Mrs. Anne Cuthbert, Elk City, Ok; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church with Rev. E.O. Harbour of Topeka, and Rev. Gene Taylor the officiating ministers. Burial was in the Overbrook Cem., Overbrook, Osage Co., Kansas.
