Description	:	Final rites were held Friday morning in the Melvin Gangstad home at Gilmore City and at 9:30 o’clock in St. John’s Catholic church for James Kelly, 31, who died Monday evening at Houston, Texas, following a long illness. The Rev. Fr. Clement Flannery officiated. Burial was in St. John’s cemetery. Mr. Kelly and his wife, the former Mary Lou Borg, daughter of Ivan and the late Mrs. Borg of Gilmore City, had made their home in Fort Dodge until moving to Texas five years ago. He had been the Houston representative of the Ft. Dodge Laboratories. He was graduated from the Fort Dodge High school, and during World War II served for two years with the United States navy. Besides his wife, Mr. Kelly is survived by his mother, Mrs. Willam Kelly, a brother, William Kelly, and a sister, Mrs. Carl Buffington, all of Fort Dodge, and another brother, Jack Simpson, of Cincinnati, Ohio.
