Jennings Died Here Today James K. Jennings, age 74, died this morning at 5:10 at his home in Columbus. He had been in failing health the past six months. Mr. Jennings was born March 3, 1889, in Hutchinson, Kans., the son of Alvin and Matilda Jennings. He moved to Kansas City , Mo., with his parents when a small child and grew to manhood there. He and Cecil Daron of Stone City, Kans., were married in Columbus April 21, 1915. She died Oct. 16, 1950. On Nov. 28, 1956, he and Mrs. Nettie Osborn of Columbus were married and she survives. He was a retired bricklayer and a member of the Holiness church. Survivors besides the widow are one daughter, Mrs. Florence Scott, of Belton, Mo.; two brothers, Louis Jennings of Hallowell route one and Park Jennings of Sioux City, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Stella Williams, Fort Worth, Tex., Mrs. Addis Mast, Azel, Tex., and Mrs. Hazel Patton of Parsons, Kans.; two stepsons, Harold Osborn of Torrance, Calif., and Walter Osborn, Ridge Crest, Calif.; one grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in the Ruhland-Murdock chapel. The Rev. Sid Thornton will officiate. Burial will be in the Cherokee cemetery at Cherokee, Kans. The family will meet friends at the funeral home Saturday night between the hours of 7 and 9 o'clock.
