Description	:	Funeral services for James Kruid, 66, of Ireton were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, at the Christian Reformed Church in Ireton with Rev. John Rubingh officiating. Family services were held at 1:00 p.m. in the church. Burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery near Alton under the direction of the Cooperative Funeral Home of Sioux Center. Kruid died November 30 at St. Luke's West Hospital in Sioux City from injuries he received in an accident with a soybean harvester at his home. Kruid died November 30 at St. Luke's West Hospital in Sioux City from injuries he received in an accident with a soybean harvester at his home. He was unloading soybeans from the harvester when his left leg became caught in the power takeoff of the machine. He was born May 18, 1903, at Hull. He married Elizabeth Boone on December 7, 1927, at Hawarden. They farmed in the Ireton area all their married life. Survivors include his widow; eight daughters, Mrs. Mitch Regnerus of Hull, Mrs. Richard Huenink, Mrs. Lee Hofland and Mrs. John Jansen, all of Orange City, Mrs. Bill Tilstra of New Hall, California, Mrs. Ted Driesen of Rock valley and Miss Geraldine Druid at home; five sons, Gerrit, James, Jr., Adrian and Melvin, all of Hawarden and Elmer of Sioux Falls; 30 grandchildren; four brothers, Ed of Orange City, Henry of Rock Valley, Herman of Sioux Center and Gerrit of Omaha, and two sisters, Margaret Kruid of Sloan and Jennie Kruid of Hawarden.
