Description	:	James Lee Clark passed away at his home in East Wenatchee on January 4, 2005. He was born in Wenatchee on September 29, 1933, to William and Julie Clark. He grew up on the family farm on Badger Mountain. He graduated from Wenatchee High School and joined the Army. He served during the Korean War (1953-1955) and after being discharged, he returned to the Wenatchee Valley. This is where he met his wife and companion of 36 years, Eva D. Ripee. He was born in Wenatchee on September 29, 1933, to William and Julie Clark. He grew up on the family farm on Badger Mountain. He graduated from Wenatchee High School and joined the Army. He served during the Korean War (1953-1955) and after being discharged, he returned to the Wenatchee Valley. This is where he met his wife and companion of 36 years, Eva D. Ripee. Together they had a son, James L. Clark Jr. in 1960, and a daughter in 1961, Kim Michelle Clark. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being an umpire to his daughter's softball games. He continued fishing until his failing health kept him indoors. He retired in 1987, due to an industrial accident in Quincy, Washington. He enjoyed being involved with the Disabled Veterans of America and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The family of James L. Clark would like to thank both of these organizations for their help and support over the years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva D. Clark; a brother, David Clark. He is survived by his brother, Joe Clark of McGregor, Texas; sister, Annita Wacholz of Wenatchee; daughter, Kim Shiflett; and son, James L. Clark of East Wenatchee; grandchildren, Lucas Shiflett, Hunter James Clark, and Jamison Leanne Clark. The family asks that anyone who wishes to honor his memory, make contributions to the DVA and VFW in his name or to any of their favorite charities. A private graveside service was held Friday, January 7, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park. Arrangement were by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
