Description	:	In 1847 at the age of 18, James traveled to Andrew County, Missouri with his parents, John and Arisba Clizer and eight younger siblings. They were: Cassandra, Eliza, Joshua, Sarah, Charles, John Edward, Julia, and Benjamin. James was the only one in the family to revert to the spelling of the name that was used by his cousins in Virginia. Kleiser was also used.
