Description	:	JONES, JAMES MILTON—James Milton Jones was born at Spring Green, Wis., May 9, 1859. He passed away at a Geneva hospital March 25, 1941, at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 16 days. He was united in marriage with Mary Ellen Thomas at Spring Green, Wis., February 6, 1884. Immediately after their marriage they came to Nebraska to make their home, residing here continuously with the exception of two years spent on a homestead in Colorado. To this union seven children were born, three sons, and four daughters. His wife, one daughter, Maude... Read More	JONES, JAMES MILTON—James Milton Jones was born at Spring Green, Wis., May 9, 1859. He passed away at a Geneva hospital March 25, 1941, at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 16 days. He was united in marriage with Mary Ellen Thomas at Spring Green, Wis., February 6, 1884. Immediately after their marriage they came to Nebraska to make their home, residing here continuously with the exception of two years spent on a homestead in Colorado. To this union seven children were born, three sons, and four daughters. His wife, one daughter, Maude Ellen, and one son, James Ralph, preceded him in death. He is survived by two sons and three daughters: Glenn L. of Pittsburgh, Pa., Verne D. of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. William Lauenstein of Geneva, Enid of Beatrice, and Mrs. M. P. Hallock of Lincoln, Neb. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Elanor Thomas, Lincoln Neb., Mrs. Mary A. Jones, Spring Green, Wis., and Mrs. Margaret Koch, Delevan, Wis., besides many other relatives and friends. He was reared in a Christian home and lived a consistent Christian life. He was a tireless church worker and an ardent student of the Bible. Since the death of his beloved companion in June, 1928, he had made his home with his children. The funeral service was held at the Hrubesky funeral home at 2 p. m. Friday, March 28. Rev. W. B. Pardun of the Methodist church officiated. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. Relatives from out of town who came to attend the funeral services were: Mrs. Lillian C. Jones, Dean and Doris of Liberty, Neb.; Dale Jones of Peru, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Welchmann and two sons of Liberty, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Thomas and Mrs. Ray E. Rice, all of Lincoln.
