Ruble and Sarah Rachel Kachel OBITUARY THE CHARITON HERALD-PATRIOT Chariton, Iowa Thursday, June 30, 1927 JAMES MILTON RUBLE Pioneer Citizen Answered Final Summons James Milton Ruble was born on March 17, 1848, in Warren county, Indiana, and died near Lacona, Ia., on June 21, 1927, aged 79 years, 3 months and 4 days. Deceased moved with his parents from Indiana to Lucas county in 1851, at the age of three years. He was the second child of a family of eleven children, six of whom have preceded him in death. Those still living are John L. Ruble, of Indianola, Iowa; Mrs. Rosetta Vincent, of Lacona, Iowa; Mrs. Mattie Wallace, of Chariton, Iowa; and Mrs. Julia Akers, of Agricola, Kansas. The deceased was united in marriage on August 22nd, 1872, to Emma J. Davis, of Lacona, Iowa, and to this union seven children were born. The mother and three children survive. The living children are John H., of Chariton, Iowa; Lon, of Indianola, Iowa; Mrs. Minnie Vawter, of Lacona, Iowa. Those who have passed before are Parley, who died December 29, 1874; Laura, who died March 20, 1880, and F. G., who died March 6, 1927. Mr. Ruble had been a faithful member of the U. B. church for at least 55 years, and at the close of his career was a member of the church trustees. He was an honorable, upright man, and highly regarded by all who knew him, and his demise will be greatly deplored. Services were conducted Thursday morning by Rev. C. W. Huffman, of Morley, Iowa, at the Arnold church, and interment was made at the cemetery one mile north of the church. The sympathy of innumerable friends will be extended to the bereaved ones.
