Description	:	James M. Easter, 92, of Bonaparte, died Monday, May 23 at 12:30 p.m. in Sacred Heart Hospital, Ft. Madison. He had been failing for six months. Born July 20, 1884 in Harrisburg Township, Van Buren County, he was the son of Charles and Anna Bell Keck Easter. He married Leta Eahart on Sept. 8, 1910 at Yankton, S.D. He spent his entire life in the Bonaparte area. He formerly worked for the Rock Island R.R., the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Burlington, the Bonaparte School and the Bonaparte Lumber company. Madison. He had been failing for six months. Born July 20, 1884 in Harrisburg Township, Van Buren County, he was the son of Charles and Anna Bell Keck Easter. He married Leta Eahart on Sept. 8, 1910 at Yankton, S.D. He spent his entire life in the Bonaparte area. He formerly worked for the Rock Island R.R., the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Burlington, the Bonaparte School and the Bonaparte Lumber company. Surviving: his wife, a resident of the Donnellson Manor Nursing Home; two sons, Charles W. of Bonaparte, Robert W. of Whiting, N.J.; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Harness of New London, Mrs. Raymond Dhority of Moravia, Iowa, Mrs. Arthur Roberts of Keosauqua; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, twin sons, one grandson and one great-grandson. The funeral service will be Thursday, May 26 at 10:30 a.m. in the Harrisburg Baptist Church. The Rev. Lester Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Vale Cemetery. The body was taken to the Carl Wilson Home, Bonaparte, where the family met friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Weds. Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington was in charge of arrangements.
