OBITUARY-THE DORCHESTER STAR JULY 23, 1925 James Britton was born in Licking county, Ohio, Oct. 21, 1852 and passed away July 15, 1925, aged 72 years, 8 months and 10 days. He moved to Nebraska with his parents in 1870 and located on a homestead in Saline county, where he grew to manhood and on Jan. 1, 1880, he was united in marriage to Almira Millard to whom five children were born, two passing away in childhood. On May 14, 1894 his wife passed away and in Sept. 1895 he was married to Mrs. Belle Moser to whom one child was born. They lived on a farm until fourteen years ago when they moved to town where he lived until he passed away. Mr. Britton was a member of the Methodist church where he attended as long as his health permitted. He is survived by his wife and four children, Florence Kline of Holbrook, Kas., Gilbert Britton of Sterling, Colo., Sadie Mason and Edna Sanburn of Dorchester and thirteen grandchildren and five brothers and one sister, Noah of California, Marshall, Will, Amos and Milo of Dorchester, Sarah Mooberry, of Krembling, Colorando. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Methodist church and interment in the Dorchester cemetery.
