Bryce, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Buck) Bryce was born November 28, 1930 near the Devil's Nest at Lindy. He died Sunday, June 1 at a Plainview hospital after an illness. Bryce, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Buck) Bryce was born November 28, 1930 near the Devil's Nest at Lindy. He died Sunday, June 1 at a Plainview hospital after an illness. He attended the Addison School, rural school near Niobrara and high school at Center and Verdigre. Mr. Bryce enlisted in the Air Force in 1951 and served in Guam and Okinawa. After his release from the Air Force in 1955, he began employment at Nye Farms at Plainview, becoming manager in 1957. On June 9, 1959 he was married to Mardene Meyer at Creighton. In 1970 they took over ownership of the purebred Angus herd and equipment from Gerald Nye. Their operation became know as Bryce Angus. Mr. Bryce was a member of St. Ludger Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 1238, American and Nebraska Feeders and VFW. Survivors include his wife; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Carla Bryce of Plainview; daughters, Jadene and Jeanette and son, Jason, all at home; four sisters, Mrs. Gilbert (Etta Belle) Allen of Neligh, Mrs. Herb (Mavis) Blair of Creighton, Mrs. Art (Mary) Sukup of Verdigre and Mrs. Arnold (Ester) Michaelsen of Tilden; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Meyer of Creighton and aunt, Goldie Bryce of Bloomfield.
