He is survived by five sons, George, Clarence, Joe, Claude and Lester, all of Stevenson, WA. Published in The Skamania County Pioneer, Stevenson, WA., Oct. 26, 1928. Information from "Obituraries from the Skamania County Pioneer Newspaper, 1900-1929", compiled by Homer and Alice Townsend. Information: There is an error in 2 names listed in our Walker plot. You see, the Walker and Grenia families are intermingled there together, thus the confusion. The 2 tombstones in question have only a single name on them, so it would be very easy to give them the wrong last name understandably. Knowing exactly which family they were, we wanted to set the record straight for others that are searching their ancestors. The first one says: Austin 1869-1925. In those listed as being buried in the cemetery, Austin is registered as Austin Grenia, when in fact it should be Austin Walker. Next to him is Vera 1908-1925. This is Austin's daughter and in the cemetery list she is listed as Vera Grenia, when in fact it should read Vera Walker. The listing shows "Father Walker" 1859-1928. My records show Mary Grenia Irwin's dad as being born in 1859 but have no death date for him. Her mother is Ella Grenia who is listed on the same pillar tombstone as Leona Walker, so I bet Father Walker, should really be "Father Grenia" . Like I said, the graves are so intertwined there it's easy to be confused. (From Joni Walker, November, 2010)
