Description	:	James was the son of Henry Blaine Seay and Amanda "Mandy" Kimbrell (Demsel) Seay. James was named after Colonel James Pender. His father was a bugle boy in the Civil War. He and his siblings were raised by his aunt & uncle, Alfred Seay and Jane Bishop Kimbrell Seay after his mother died in childbirth. His siblings were: George Whipple Seay 1871-1948, Alfred T. Seay 1874-? (died in Del Rio, TN),and the infant that died with his mother in childbirth. He married Mary Cordelia Strange on 06 Oct 1895 in Jefferson County, Tennessee.
