Description	:	James "Jimmy" R. Fell, 73, of Anamosa, formerly of Tipton, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, while under the care of the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 9, at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. A memorial fund has been created in his memory. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery, Tipton, Iowa, with Full Military rites. James Raymond Fell was born February 28, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Raymond and Shirley (Chapman) Fell. He graduated from Tipton High School with the Class of 1966. He was drafted into the United States Army and served from November 1966 through November 1968, including a tour in Vietnam. He married Rosemary (Erickson) Michaels and were later divorced. He married Sharon Louise (Osterkamp) Hurt on June 6, 2014, on their family farm in Anamosa. He was a Life Member of the Tipton VFW, Post 2537, where he was a Past Post Commander and a Past District Commander. He was also a member of the Anamosa American Legion, Post 13. He was a driver for Pabst Blue Ribbon for many years and then worked for SOS as a sales person and was associated with Successful Farming, where he started to organize his tractor rides. He then purchased and was part owner of the Cotton Gallery and 100% owner of Tired Iron Shirt Gallery. He eventually ended up farming in Anamosa for many years. He was very instrumental in creating the Tractor Cruise USA, which is still ongoing today. Surviving are his wife, Sharon; two daughters, Shelly (Gregory) Barnhart of Marion and Nicole (Kenneth) Smith of Olathe, KS; two step-daughters, Sherri (Matt) Trumm of Clarence and Karsyn (Taylor Blinks) Hurt of Anamosa; two step-sons, Douglas Hurt of Anamosa and Taylor Hurt of Oceanside, CA; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Vicki Frazier of San Clemente, CA, and Nancy (Kenny) Stewart of Tipton: and one brother, Michael Fell of Tipton.
