Description	:	JAMES S. PETERS, 89, of Loudonville, died Thursday morning, December 29, 2016 in The Good Shepherd Home, Ashland following a short illness. He was born September 16, 1927 in Loudonville and was the son of the late Henry and Ocie Emery Peters. Jim was a US Navy veteran of WWII and a member of American Legion Post 257 Loudonville. On June 11, 1949 he married Caroline M. Baker who died on October 19, 2015. He was a 29 year employee of Mansfield Plumbing Products, retiring as a supervisor in 1992. He was born September 16, 1927 in Loudonville and was the son of the late Henry and Ocie Emery Peters. Jim was a US Navy veteran of WWII and a member of American Legion Post 257 Loudonville. On June 11, 1949 he married Caroline M. Baker who died on October 19, 2015. He was a 29 year employee of Mansfield Plumbing Products, retiring as a supervisor in 1992. Jim was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Loudonville and enjoyed woodworking, electronics, fixing TVs and was very proud to have built the home in which he lived. Jim is survived by his son, Mike Peters of Loudonville; his daughter, Marilyn Peters of Troy and two sisters: Phyllis Mae Rader of Ashland and Jane Ann Graham of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; a son, Richard E. Peters and an infant sister, Angela Peters. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. in Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, conducted by Father Vincent Hawk of St. Peter Catholic Church. Military honors will be held at the funeral home, conducted by the American Legion and VFW. Private burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, Loudonville.
