The death of James Walker which was hourly expected occured last Friday evening after a lingering spell of sickness. He passed away peacefully and without pain, surrounded by his loving children who mourn their loss. Although aged, he was apparently vigorus and healthy until lately. "Uncle Jimmie" was kind and generous to everybody, always ready to participate in harmless sport--he was a true Kentuckian by birth and manner. He dearly loved to mingle with his children and friends and enjoy true friendship of those around him. He was a true Christian and died a firm believer of Christ. He leaves a family of four sons and three daughters, all grown, to follow sooner or later. This community indeed feel the loss of an honored citizen. The funeral services were conducted by Elder McGuire. The remains were laid at rest in the Mount Zion cemetery, their to await the call of the Maker at the Resurrection Morn. The bereaved children and relatives have the sympathy of our community...
