McClenahan Dies in Los Angeles James W. McClenahan, 43, a native of Cherokee, died Thursday afternoon of last week at his home in Los Angeles, after an illness of six months. Mr. McClenahan was born march 31, 1913, in Cherokee, where he attended school and lived until about fifteen yeara ago when he moved to Los Angeles. A membership was held in the Methodist church. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Gladys McClenahan and two sons, Danny McClenhan and James McClenahan Jr. of the home in Los Angeles; one daughter by a former marriage, Sharon McClenahan of Pittsburg; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. dave McClenahan of Cherokee; and one brother, Maurice D. McClenahan of McPherson. Funeral rites were conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Cherokee Methodist church with Rev. Harvey Houchin in charge of the services. Interment was in the Cherokee cemetery. The body arrived from Los Angeles Tuesday afternoon and was taken to the Brenner chapel. Mrs. O.H. Curry and Mrs. Virginia Martino sang accompanied by Mrs. George E. Wilson.
