Kansas dated 2 Nov 1869 Last Will and Testament of James Winstead, Senior I, James Winstead being in delicate health and of sound mind and memory do make and publish my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made at any time heretofore made and as to my worldly estate and all the property real, personal or mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease I devise, bequeath and dispose of thereof in the manner following to wit: Item 1. I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Elizabeth Winstead, all my property both personal and real and Five hundred fifty dollars, ($550), in money to have and to hold the same for her use during the term of her natural life. 2. And at her death I devise and bequeath to my daughter, Manerva Winstead, all of my real estate with buildings and household furniture; one team of horses and wagon; one cow and calf, and one sow, to the said Manerva Winstead, her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to her for their use forever. 3. I give, devise and bequeath to Margaret Pirtle, my daughter; W. B. Winstead, my son; Lucy Randolph, my daughter; Bethena Jordon, my daughter; James Winstead, my son; Winterville Brouse (Krouse), my daughter, and Summerville Hopkins, my daughter, after a sale has been made of the balance of my personal property by my executors the proceeds of said sale to be divided equally between the above named children, to have and to hold for their heirs and assign and their use forever, and that they reserve Five dollars, ($5.00), which I devise and bequeath to Manerva Jane Winstead, daughter of Ejahriam Winstead, my son, to have and to hold for her use forever. And lastly I nominate and appoint Elisabeth Winstead, my wife, and Israel Stoddard to be the executors of this my Last Will and Testament.
