Brother of Jacob (died at age 4), Elizabeth, Jacob, Marinus, Gaskje (Grace), Hiltje, Maria, Minnie Julia, Leendert (Leonard), Frederick, Annie OBITUARY: John Jansma died at his home at Jamestown, N.D., on Sunday July 19th of paresis aged 48 years 5 months and 26 days. Deceased was born in Pella Iowa on January 18th, 1864. In the spring of 1870 he came with his people to Sioux county. On April 22nd 1886 he was united in marriage to Miss Nellie Hyink, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Hyink,. then of Newkirk. This union was blessed with ten children, six of whom are living. The funeral services were held on Friday July 19th from the Congregational church of Scranton, N, D. Rev. J . R. Smith pastor of the church, officiated. Interment was made at Scranton. Deceased is survived by his widow, six children- Andrew, Gerrit, Maude, Nelson, Edward and J. Henry. The following brothers and sisters also survive-Mrs. Elizabeth Westra of Poplar Montana, Jacob Jansma of Hospers, la., M. Jansma of Hospers, la., Mrs. D. De Graaf of Sanborn, la., Mrs. B. Vander Hoef of Chandler, Minn., Mrs. Schut of Chandler, Minn., Mrs. J . Dykstra of Sheldon, la., L. Jansma of Edgerton, Minn., and Fred Jansma of Sheldon Iowa. The following relatives attended the funeral-Mrs. J. B. Hyink and Mrs. S. B. De Pree of Sioux Center, Mrs. D. De Graaf of Sanborn, Rev. M. Hyink of Lemmon, S. D., Mrs. A. Balkema of Orange City, M.
