She was born in Highland County, September 23, 1913, the daughter of Lewis and Stella (Vance) Mercer. She was a member of the Collingwood Presbyterian Church in Toledo and was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro. On June 8, 1913, she was united in marriage to her husband, Kenneth, who survives. Other survivors include her son, Roger Cannon of Chicago, Ill; six sisters, Opal Murray of Wilmington, Maxine Patton of Hillsboro, Frances Elizabeth Wiggins of Columbus, Jeanette Miller of Hillsboro, Hilda Lucas and Kathryn Karnes of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Brian, Bruce and Diane Cannon; three great-grandchildren, Kris, Arron and Kirby Cannon. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Bess Duncan. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 12, 2 P.M. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro where Rev. Dan Mitchell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call at the Turner & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 P.M.
